Getting Crafty

Well so about a month ago, I was browsing Roberts craft store for some gardening containers, just checking out my options. While heading out, I saw these lovely things that appeared to be some sort of 'magazine racks'. I liked them, and naturally checked the price tag, $80. Yikes, they're cute, but not that cute. Then I noticed they all had 75%clearance tags. Ok, so $20, not bad. I might be able to manage that. After staring at it for a good while, I decided, what the heck.. I don't exactly need a mag rack, but it could be fun. So I get rung up and it ended up being clearanced at 90% off! So I payed $8 for something that was originally $80! What a steal. I felt like a champion. So I decided I would take my new inexpensive find and dress it up. So I bought some reeds, styrofoam, and those white floral type sticks that you either love or hate. There are 2 dividers so I filled the back 3rd section with the stuff. Anyway, I dressed it up and made a fun project out of it all. Now mind you the pictures didn't turn out that well, I'm no professional, but I love it and it's much cuter in person. It's gotten rave reviews. :)

For $10 bucks, I think it was a fabulous find. Also, I think they didn't sell originally because they were labeled as a 'knitting rack' for knitters supplies. Hello! This thing screams magazines.
