Yep. True. We went. Alex (my sis) was staying with our other sis Chris in Vancouver, WA and she really wanted to meet up in the famous (or infamous) town of Forks. You know, that place where vampires & werewolves live? Anyway.. Andrew came, and it was the best day of his life. I'll show you...

First, I thought I'd be kind enough to let you know that this is a spoiler free review.

Yes. Finished Bree Tanner. This should not surprise you. I often read my novels at a ridiculously fast pace. Unhealthy & unbalanced is the only way I know how to do it. That, coupled with the fact that it's been raining a lot lately, doesn't leave much room for outdoor exploring in this new town, so why not read? Tons? Anyway, it was good. The beginning freaked me out. I wasn't ever into Twilight for the vampire aspect, so if that was what it was going to be about, I was gonna bail. Luckily that's not how it was. It proved interesting, and I love how much it relates to the background story, aka.. Eclipse. Definitely a cool read to do before the movie comes out. It makes me wish I had the 3rd novel with me now to reread before the film. I'm curious to see it from the other side again now that I know the ins and outs from the other side! Oh and it also deserves mention that it was set in Seattle. So I felt like Bree was my neighbor. Or ate my neighbor. Maybe that's why we don't ever hear her.

Give it a go. It wont disappoint. It fits right into the other novels like I said, so it's pretty interesting. Although it is interesting to note that in all of Stephenie's books she always casts 2 leading male roles. ...curious. Boyfriend issues in college perhaps? Although the dynamic of these guys were different. The two guys weren't a 'competition for the girl' pair, so that was nice. Either way, she's awesome, and so are her stories.

Stephenie said at her book signing - that I was so privileged to attend- that she was going to most likely write sub-stories from various characters in the "Twilight" world, and here's the first! Bree Tanner is one of the newborn vampires, and I'm pretty sure it'll be a good one. A quickie, but a goodie. Yes, if you remember.. I go a little crazy when there's progress with Twilight and the saga (proof here). Well, now that the trailer's come out, it's no different. I about died when I watched it.. and then watched it 5 more times to make sure I saw everything. I think this one is going to trump the last movie, and I think I just might switch sides to being a die hard 'Jacob' fan. (: ..who knows.. anything's possible. (;

For those of you who weren't aware.. Summit Entertainment has announced that they bought the rights to ALL of Stephenie's books, and that they are going to start on New Moon, RIGHT AWAY!

Twilight

It came, it happened and it was LOVELY!
I know many of you have not yet seen it, and for you.. I will not unveil my opinions and such. But I will tell you this, I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I went in with zero expectations, and came out very happy. With any novel-to-movie screen, you loose SOO much of the depth and goodness, and there just isn't enough time in 2ish hours to display all of the intensity. (Harry Potter lovers will tell you that the movies always leave out SO MUCH of the wonderfulness, and it hold true to this film as well.) Of course I must say that they did so good with what time and depth they could show.

Loved it.. now go see it and be your own critic. :)
On a side note: My dear Aunt Shawna (whom I've mentioned before, is a dear friend of Stephenie's) was given a personal invite for both herself and Uncle Walt, to go to the Arizona red-carpet premiere. HOW AWESOME!? She loved it, and loved being able to see their good old friends Steph and Pancho again.
Jealousy! ..but we love you Aunt Shawna and are so glad you had tons of fun!

Question: Is anyone interested in purchasing 2 Twilight movie tickets for the 12:01am showing up here in Utah?? They're for the Thanksgiving Point theater. To be honest, the seats are smack center in the front row.. which isn't bad once the previews have rolled (I obviously didn't mind when purchasing them).

So I TOTALLY just purchased my Twilight tickets... AAAH!

I'M SO EXCITED!!

And not only that, but the theater is ASSIGNED seating.. so I don't have to fight for a seat, OR wait 5 hours in line before midnight! YESS!

All's I can say is you better hurry up and get them NOW, because basically the theater was SECONDS away from being sold out! ..don't let that happen to you!

Twilight's official and final trailer is coming to a theater near you! That's right, it will be released this Friday (Oct. 10th) in theaters before select movies! Instead of going to see a random movie, trying to get lucky with the previews (I would so do that, like the weirdie I am..), there will be a sneak preview of it Thursday night (Oct. 9th) on Entertainment Tonight! I will SOO be watching for it!

Well ya should! Both photos are Cam Gigandet ..and the first shot of him hit me like a ton of bricks the other day. I was watching an old episode of the OC and HELLO.. Volchok!! The evil-hot-surfer-druggy kid that practically kills Marissa. ((thank you! all the more reason to love your work, right Erin?? haha)) Sorry if you have no idea what I'm talking about, I was just so stoked to make the connection. I called my mom to share my epiphanie and I guess she wasn't as enlightened as I was, haha. However, now I can attest to this man's acting skills, because he was quite believable as the creepy-stoner-good looking-trouble maker. Now he will make a perfect scary-tracking-vampire. :)

Even MORE news!

GUESS WHAT fellow obsessors?! ..ok so Harry Potter's next movie has actually been pushed back from its original release date Thanksgiving weekend to now being released next summer. Bummer right? (well I'm not that into it, so not really) ..however, this is GREAT news because now Twilight is being moved up 3 weeks earlier to Harry Potter's Thanksgiving slot! THAT MEANS I get to see it November 21st instead! YESSS! Life just couldn't get any better right about now. :)

Ok friends, It's bitter sweet.. I finished the book! I am so sad that my personal ability to extend the duration of reading, only stretched till today. I just couldn't stop! It is HANDS DOWN thee best book of the saga. I'm so sad it's over! So thankful for the movies that are sure to come (starting this December YESSS!), as well as Midnight Sun (Edwards book.. which is melting my heart already!), which is told to be her next/current project.

Oh, in case you're as obsessed as I am.. here's where you can get Stephenie's 'inspirational' music playlists used to help in the creation of these divine novels. Including recording artists such as Travis, U2, Brand New, Keane, Coldplay, Linkin Park, and her favorite the Muse. Also artists I had not yet been exposed to that I now LOVE -thanks to Stephenie- such as Marjorie Fair, David Gray, Placebo, Collective Soul, Blue October, etcetera etcetera. Basically you can drive around or sit here reading my blog while listening to the lyrics that describe the wonderful stories that we love so much. You can select the following links to see all these magical songs. (Some of the lists depict which characters the songs belong to.) Now you can rock out and be obsessed 24/7 like ME!
