reminiscing.

Today I am missing the lazy days of summer that were filled with sisters, nail polish, and Mexican food. Love and miss you guys.

*All polishes are by China Glaze. Mine specifically was Electric Pineapple.

PS. Pay no mind to Andrew's "rigor mortis" hand. He does "rigor mortis" motions often for pictures. I'll have to point this out to you some other time. Don't know what rigor mortis is? Read here.

It's the MOST wonderful time of the year!

Rome.

Rome. Roam.. which ever. Ideally I'd be roaming in Rome right now, so both. I just watched Eat.Pray.Love. and had a decent idea of what to expect, however what I wasn't expecting was to have 2 of my top 5 places to see sometime in my life, to be a huge part of the movie (obviously I haven't read the book, but I should). Italy, and Bali (although I'd be content with the Eastern islands/Indo in general).

So on the blog, 'Endless Summer' continues via my mood board. Lets all pretend we're sitting in that summery-tangerine round chair, sipping a cool italian soda, under the warm breeze and Tuscan sun, with a good book. You down?

Ahh.. feeling better already. (:
Cheers.

Pollen.

There is no longer any confusion whatsoever as to of WHY my allergies are acting SO HEINOUS as of late. Makes perfect sense now. But, in other news, do you see the small numbers at the bottom? Stoked. I'll blow my itchy nose all day if the forecast will look like that for me! Shoots.

Are you over my endless summer rants? Well, I'm not.. sorry. (:
ENDLESSSSSSSS.

Deck Chairs.

Endless summer on the blog continues, as the air outside thins and chills..
Gross. I don't want to think about it.

Moving on-- I love these deck chairs, they're the best I've seen. They're from a Canadian furniture company that I found, known as Gallant & Jones. What I love about a sling deck chair is the comfort of the fabric sling, the linear shapes from the crossing supports that contrast against the curved seat, the wood grain, the stain they used, the fabric selections, and of course just how all the elements combine to SCREAM COASTAL. (:

I'm definitely keeping tabs on these guys so that I can purchase a couple when we actually get to decorate a home! I would love to get my hands on some of these for a patio someday. Heck, I'd even put them INSIDE my house. For sure.

You know me, I love a good chair!

Summer,

Don't go.

If you turn around and leave me in like a week... SO HELP ME, I'll miss you like crazy for a whole year! --goodness knows you don't show up until July as of late-- Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person living in Utah that doesn't really care for Fall.. but she's just not as wonderful as you are! "Yeah but, she's got all sorts of pretty leaves!" ..you know what I say to that? I'll take every shade of green on my leaves over orange and firey-fart colors any day! Granted.. those colors are pretty. I've digressed..

Dang, I definitely didn't get enough of you this time around, so hopefully you'll stick around indefinitely. I don't care if weather people and politicians freak out, GLOBAL WARM IT UP!!

WARM WARMNESS FOREVER!
I declare endless summer. Andrew and I want to move to Hawaii for this movement to be real for us. ..seriously debating it (well, I am at least, ha).

So in celebration of the best season ever, here are some nautical things I'd love to buy and wear for the next 8-10 months, assuming my plea meets reality of course.

Mrs. Dyer & I should start a petition of some sort to make this official. Or, this post IS the petition, and you can sign in a 'comment.' Do it. Pledge your agreeance! Or maybe I could turn into the "Blue Witch" or maybe a "Green Witch"..like in Narnia.. and make it Summer, but never Labor Day (Narnia clarification: the white witch makes it winter, but never Christmas). I'd prefer to be called the Blue or Green Mermaid if that's the case. That sounds better.

Summer, I love you.
And that's all I have to say.

Love, you're biggest fan-

Sunny days ahead.

Or so we hope! I'm getting pretty ghostly (which is a scary thing for me) and need to fix it pronto. My dad mentioned while skyping that Andrew and me were looking like the Cullens. HA. Last weekend we had sun and we took advantage by going to what they call a "beach" in these parts. It was more like - grass meets lake with a dock and 4 square feet of sand - but it was enjoyable none the less. (:

Hopefully we can get that kind of weather ALL WEEK/the rest of our stay LONG! This rain is starting to wear on us. Literally. It beat our tiny new lawn to death. Good news is that it was good for the flowers and tomato plant. They're thriving and growing awesomely. But anyway, rumor has it it should end VERY soon and the rest of summer is going to be GORGEOUS and full of exploring and sunshine. Sandals, shorts, and tees are my favorite thing! We've got a pool too and I want to use it BIG TIME. Can't wait.

I have an idea, YOU should come visit.

Think about it.

Ol' Wet Nose

For those of you who have been wondering to yourselves.. 'hmm, what's that scaly-wag Bird been up to?' Yes, a common thought for most people. Well, she went on a drive up the Alpine Loop.. and LOVED it. (:

Northward Ho

We're home now.. and couldn't be happier. (:
I've forgotten how much I love Provo in the summer, it's gorgeous outside. I'm on the hunt for work, and Andrew is just plugging away getting his portfolio going as much as possible before school starts. Other than that, we're just playing and enjoying what's left of the sun!
Cheers, friends. Now, go grab yourself some frozen yogurt.
Happy Monday!

Farewell..

(please ignore the salty blood-shot eyes, thanks)

Oh, how we will miss this place. Tomorrow we head back to our little home in Utah. There are both pro's & con's to this. So I've made up a list or two for you to understand..

Pro's
*Oh, how I've missed The Pizza Factory
*I can't wait to have the Provo Forever 21, & the Orem Target
(they're just better for some reason)
*I've missed Costa Vida
*I've missed taking Birdie to the park
*I've missed cooking Andrew simple dinners in our tiny kitchen
*I miss driving through the canyon
*I've missed Gardner Village
*I miss going to movies more often, all thanks to a dollar theater
*I miss eating at Zupas
*Abby's in St. George! ROAD TRIPS!
*I missed my friend Kels' baby girl being born, how exciting it will be to meet her!

etc, etc.. Notice, Utah has lots of good food.. and I miss that.
(Yes, I'm aware it's in exchange for good Mexican food, but that's something I've gotten plenty of this summer!)

Con's
*I will miss my family!
*I will miss the beach.. surfing has been soo good to me this summer!
*I will miss Beckett, I'll have to retrain him who his favorite auntie is later..
*I'll miss the Mexican food (previously mentioned, but worth a second mentioning)
*I'll miss downtown
*I'll miss the palm trees
*I'll miss working at Spa Gregories.. Hands down the best spa I've worked at
*I'll miss the moisture
*I'll miss Nikki friend's baby girl being born! (I keep missing these things!)

Anyway.. the lists go on and on. So for someone who doesn't love Utah, I sure seem to like it quite a bit. Or more so, the little life we have there. We're excited to head back, but even more than that, we're grateful for the wonderful stay we've had here in sunny San Diego, and for one of the best summers we've both ever had. (:

Farewell, beautiful city & people..
Hello, sweet little place we live.

Cinnamon

Once upon a time, Cinnamon and I went wave sliding in Mexico.
..we have fun together south of the border.

I'm going to miss both of these things very soon, but until then, I'm trying to cram in as much log riding as I can.. so see you at the ocean. (:

Blanketed Window

You know, I've never understood the people who make an effort to hang up a blanket over their already blind covered window... until now.
We happen to be living in a east facing bedroom, which means it can get really hot.. really early. Like, 7am early. So what did I do in my fit of heated rage the other morning? I ran downstairs, grabbed our large/heavy/blue mexican blanket adorned with dolphins, and threw it up as fast as I could. It has since stayed there, and has kept our room a minimum of 20 degrees cooler. I'm sure of it. Thank you tacky heat saver.. you've made my mornings. (:
