Spa Gregories

Did I tell you? Andrew and I are in San Diego till the end of August! How could we refuse the amenities and lifestyle? Precisely, we couldn't. So here we are, living and working. Wait, I wasn't doing the latter, but I am now!

That's right.. I got a job at an AMAZING/OOBER LUXURIOUS/HUGE TO THE N'TH DEGREE! spa. Spa Gregories. It's new, and will open July 1st, and is 1 of 3 locations. It's in the heart of Del Mar, and will keep me down there more often while we're here (woohoo!). We have been training for some of the most DREAMY treatments, I just can't wait! So anyway, I've been all over the place trying to get my licensing in order (which having my NCBTMB already helps things move along like CRAZY).. and it's been pretty exciting. Can't you tell!? I'm super stoked, and can't wait to get started. Everyone is rad, and the owners are such heavenly and humble people.. I just can't wait to work for them!

So I guess what I'm sayin is, if you want a lavender/tangerine/honey body scrub with acompanying rain bar, or a hydra quench body wrap.. just let me know. (;

Oh My, Heaven.

Oh man, oh man! So here's the thing.

THIS wonderful Utah spa known as Sego Lily Mind Body Spa.. is doing a little diddy. A contest if you will. Meaning, you tell them why you should win a WHOLE YEAR'S WORTH OF TREATMENTS, and they give it to you. Well, not you, me. I plan on winning. I enter contests and giveaways.. and have yet to show for it, but this time will be different. Just you see. :)
Anyway, you might be thinking to yourself.. "Arica, you doodie.. you WORK in a spa, share the wealth!" ..and while this is a valid concern, I return your statement with a question: Do you think GIVING massages are as rewarding as RECIEVING them? ..that's what I thought.

The only catch is to post about the whole experience. When you recieve your monthly treatments and all that jazz. HELLO! Who wouldn't want to share the dream job of pampering with the rest of the world!? I mean, LOOK at these treatments.. you might want to check your lip. I think you're drooling already.


I mean if a HONEYDEW & PARAFFIN COCOON isn't reason enough to enter, I don't know what is. I can just imagine the words I would have to describe such a treatment after recieving it. Fancy, definitely a fancy thing to have done.

..All I can say is, I'm in.
And Sego Lily, I'll post about anything you want, ANYTHING!
And THAT is why I think I should win. :)

Thai Yoga Massage

For those of you who have no idea what the title is referring to (which is probably 98% of you..), it means almost exactly what it's saying, and it's given Thailand the credit. Basically you get to completely relax, and your therapist will put you into the most comfortable stretches/yoga positions OF YOUR LIFE.

It looks something like this..

And it feels like a million bucks. I mean honestly, who WOULDN'T love to be completely lazy and have someone ELSE do your stretching for you.. huh? I haven't had the pleasure to have some of this since massage school, but I sure would LOVE to have some RIGHT now!
